Ricochet receives the Social Relevance Solidaires Award from Centraide of Greater Montreal

We are deeply honored to have received the 2025 Social Relevance Solidaires Award, presented by Centraide of Greater Montreal during their annual recognition evening. This distinction affirms the relevance and importance of our mission: to put vulnerable individuals in the West Island first, always and above all.

In a territory too often perceived as free from poverty, we witness every day the very real effects of hardship — intensified by the housing crisis and social exclusion. Our response: to listen, to adapt and to act in a concrete and compassionate way to offer support, respect and dignity to those who need it most.

A deeply meaningful recognition

This award honors organizations that, over the past year, have demonstrated a strong and relevant social impact in their community. For us, it not only highlights the importance of the work we do, but also the trust we’ve built with the people around us.

Our Executive Director, Tania Charron, expressed it best:

“Thirteen years ago, we were told, ‘you don’t need to exist.’ Today, we’re told, ‘thank you for existing.’”

These words resonate deeply, as they reflect the journey we’ve taken, the obstacles we’ve overcome and the growing recognition of the essential role Ricochet plays in the West Island.
