“What I love about Ricochet is that there are several types of intervention workers, each with their own specialty. For example, Emilienne is there to guide us toward the right resources based on our needs. Arthur focuses more on employment, while others handle housing. There are also addiction specialists, a nurse, and people trained to truly help us in different situations.

We have access to so many resources—even things I didn’t know existed before Joseph told me about them. Thanks to him, I now have proper mental health follow-up, something I’ve never had in my life before.

Arthur helped me a lot too. He gave me my confidence back; he showed me that I was capable of motivating myself. But it’s not just about motivation—it’s the confidence that comes from knowing they are 100% behind you.

These aren't just staff members doing a job in a detached way. They take the time to ask how you’re doing, for real. They go beyond administrative procedures; they care about you as a human being.

There are also activities organized regularly—not just once a month, but really often. Ricochet accepts everyone; it’s well-structured, there are clear rules, and they are explained to you as soon as you arrive. I remember being given a tour of the center; they made me feel confident right from the start.

We encourage beneficiaries to reconnect with their passions.

Often, art becomes a way to express oneself when words are not enough. We provide creative spaces within the shelter to allow the artists who visit Ricochet to create art, in a moment of calm, away from the urgency of daily life.
